A scooter is an excellent vehicle to have for driving around. One reason why a scooter is so great is because it is very economic. With gas prices so high people need something with good gas mileage just to be able to afford to get around. The average economy size car can get approximately 30 miles to a gallon. Certain 50cc scooters can get an amazing 100 miles per gallon! That alone is a perfect reason to purchase a scooter. Fill it up once and it would probably make it back and forth to work for an entire week if not two.
Another great reason to have a scooter for driving around is that they can fit into areas that cars can not go. Sometimes it is fun to drive around by lakes, parks, and grassy areas. There might also be some interesting tight spots to explore. A scooter can easily fit into these areas. A car can not. Dirt roads are great to tread on as well. Scooters can handle the dirt roads.
